HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Katie and Lizzie for completing this year's London Marathon in memory of Lucy. This is an incredible achievement. Thank you so much to everyone who supported them by giving donations in support of our cause. This money has the ability to help fund an additional 182 hours of pioneering lung cancer research, so thank you so much to EVERYONE for your support.
This money comes from Swansea and District Back Pain Care Assoc.(£25.00), Vale of Glamorgan Parkinson Group (£25.00), Sketty Care and Repair Group (£25.00)and West Cross Friendship Club who gave me £105.00 in cash which will be banked seperately. The Parkingson Group gave me £10.00 cash and the Sketty Group gave me £31.00 which will all be banked and forwarded directly to Roy Castle. So the full total raised from these talks is £220.00 of which £75.00 was in cheques and that is what is represented by this figure. Hope that makes sense, but as a result of showing the Christmas letters people just come up after the talk with cash in hand.
This includes £120.00 from Mumbles Motorboat and Fishing Club and £55.00 from Penclawdd Senior Citizens group. Both donations came after I did a talk for each group and gave out the Christmas letter. I'm sure that both groups were so generous as a result of reading the letter.
This money was given by the ladies who belonged to the Bridgend Townswomen's Guild following a talk I gave them this afternoon on Osborne House, Queen Victoria's holiday home. The money was made up of my fee plus several generous donations by ladies after hearing Lucy's story.
