One of a few G&Ts soothing the pain of 16 miles around Rutland Water with Helen and the kids . It is possible with enough snacks, some constructive encouragement, the odd push uphill and some deception to get a 5 year old girl to cycle for 16 miles, I was proudest of her brother Nye who cried and cycled at the same time. Life skills learnt, winners never quit, quitters never win, winners cry whilst cycling and winning, multipacks of strawberry Cornettos are also the perfect recovery food and gin and Adnams Ghost Ship and Mean Time Brewery’s pale and Yakima Red. Rest week is going well.
