Lucy,until her lung cancer diagnosis in October 2011,was living life to the full. Working alongside David Jason as an actress in primetime hit A Touch of Frost, she worked hard, but with a huge circle of friends and an outgoing personality she played hard too. Tragically, Lucy was diagnosed too late and, even with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, her cancer had already spread to both her spine and liver. She died less than four months later, aged just 32.
Lucy stayed positive all the way through, she wouldn't even talk about dying. She had a mug which said Lucy Bowen: Kicking Cancer's Arse': she was determined to smash this thing.
Lucy meant so much to so many people, we all miss her and we as a family have had tremendous support in our efforts to raise as much money as possible, so that other families may not have to go through what we have.
